We are one member of the National
Nano-sciences & Nano-technology Center of China.
Supported by the President Foundation of the Chinese Academy of
Sciences , the Knowledge Innovation Program of Chinese Academy of
Sciences(KJCX1-06-04) , the National High Technology
Research and Development Program of China (No.
2002AA302615,
863 Program), we have done a lot of research and development work in the carbon nanotubes
synthesis and application since 1996, and developed a scalable CVD method to produce
high purity single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) and
multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) with va rious
diameters and narrow diameter distribution.
The technology for
producing 5kg 20-40nmMWNTs per day was evaluated as an advanced
technology in the world by CAS scientists.
We can produce 1.5kg high purity SWNTs per day and 20kg MWNTs with 10-20nm in diameter per day. The production facilities can be enlarged easily.
And MWNTs with purity more than 98wt% max.

The Chengdu Institute of
Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, founded in
November 1958, is a comprehensive R&D institute based on applied
researches and high-tech innovation.In June 2001, it was
registered in Chengdu Organic Chemicals Co., Ltd., CAS.
There are many people with
senior professional degree in the corporation. It has currently
about 400 staffs, among them there are 320 researchers and
engineers, which is 80% of all.110members have titles of associate
professor and over, including 25 professors and 12 Doctor
candidate.
The corporation has been
authorized to confer Ph. D in organic chemistry and Postdoctoral
Trans Station in chemistry has been built. There are 146 students
currently graduate.
